Our top priority is to provide the highest quality of life based on each resident’s needs and wishes. We treat each of our residents as individuals, and each resident is encouraged to retain their independence as much as possible, while providing him/herself help in caring for his/herself. Residents can choose where they wish to take morning coffee and afternoon tea, and there is a whole host of activities on offer to allow for as much social interaction as each resident wishes.
Each resident has an individually tailored Person Centred Care Plan, which is based on the individual’s care needs. It is created on arrival by the resident, his/her family and our nursing staff to ensure that attention is paid to every detail, and it is updated regularly to accommodate changing needs.
Although independence is encouraged, the house is fully staffed to assist with residents’ daily needs.
A doctor visits Inchmarlo House once a week to take care of the residents’ medical needs.
Inchmarlo House and the Village are inspected regularly by the Council’s Contracts Officer and by the registering body, the Care Inspectorate. Since 2012 we have consistently received gradings of either “Very Good” or “Excellent” and we are continually striving to enhance our service levels further and respond to feedback received.
