It was Daddy’s birthday on 30th April so I suggested that I join him at Inchmarlo so I could see all my friends. We went out and I went around and spoke to all the residents in the Red Drawing Room and they were pleased to see me as usual.
After Daddy had lunch with Julie, the General Manager, he went into the Green Drawing Room to do some work on his email messages and lo and behold in came Head Chef Colin with an individual cake with a single candle on it and some staff singing “Happy Birthday To You”.
I was delighted that this happened but was disappointed that I couldn’t join in the singing. After lunch Daddy and I walked around Westfield, the Heronry and everything as usual was looking wonderful. It was a gorgeous day, but of course, what else could it be on Daddy’s birthday!
